Calendar and Cup draws due soon
I will be publishing the calendar shortly – a little bit of tweaking is still required, and the initial cup draws for the Chalice and The Champion of Champions will be performed this weekend – hopefully. Only one new team made it into the Champion of Champions format – Real Sociable Dad; all the others who featured last time are in it already. The Chairman, of course, is still not in the prestigious new competition, never having won a division.

Problems dog chairman’s laptop
I have had a few issues with my laptop this last week. As many of you know, it has been shambling along on all fours for some time now and last week it looked like it was dying. If that wasn’t enough it looked as if it had acquired something nasty. I am checking systems as I type (on my other laptop) and hope to have the issue resolved – one way or another – soon. Once things are sorted I will be able to crack on with the rest of the preparations for the new season.

Curtain goes up on Season XIX
Welcome all once again to another nine months of hopes, schemes and cruelly-dashed dreams.
The league calendar is still to be considered, but will be out shortly. As last season, there will be three bits of silverware to scrap over: The Chalice, The Roy Pearce Trophy, and the Champion of Champions salver.
The Chairman has yet to get around to his much-anticipated predictions, but hopes to have them dashed-off shortly. In the meantime, here is the news…
